Several Assessments: (Smarter Balance: reading/math/science, Dibels & iReady) are currently being taken that require students' best efforts and encouragement.

Washington's students take state and federal tests regularly to assess their learning growth as well as the progress of the educational system as a whole. State tests include the following on the list, found on the OSPI website.
During spring students will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) test for English language arts (ELA) and math tests for students in grades 3–8 and 10 for federal and state accountability. The high school ELA and math assessments can be used to meet a student's graduation pathway requirement.
