WELCOME TO THE ADMIN TEAM Megan Gray: WSD would like to welcome Megan Gray to our Admin Team! Megan is the new vice-principal for Wahluke High School starting in the 2023-2024 school year. Get to know her by reading a little bit about her below:
From Megan!
My gap year after high school lasted over 10 years working as an accountant for Alaska Airlines and Washington Mutual. I met my husband in Ellensburg and completed my undergrad in Secondary Science Teaching at CWU. While teaching science at WJH, I completed my MS in Curriculum and Instruction and an MS in Educational Leadership through WGU. We have two sons, Everett (3) and Elias (9 mos.) who keep us busy, very entertained, and would live outdoors if they could.
Your "Why" for the upcoming school year
- I believe school climate can have the greatest impact on student achievement, therefore I want to build a strong, collaborative, and celebratory culture for our staff and students this year.
Why Mattawa?
I moved around a lot in my life and attended 10 different schools. I have never felt so welcome as the Wahluke staff, students, and their families have made me feel. I'm so thankful that as my career has pushed forward, I've been able to maintain the relationships with my students and will continue to see them graduate into thriving adults!

I spent most of my childhood in Alaska and never lived anywhere longer than 2 years.
